So you're probably wondering  what is Radon Gas?

Radon gas comes from the decay of uranium in the soil.    This gas seeps into homes at any access point and gets trapped in areas like basements, crawl spaces, or any closed in area. And from there it moves up into your living area.   There is also another way for radon gas to enter your home.   It is through your well water.   So if you have a private well that as well should be measured.

Why should you measure for radon gas?

The exposure to radon gas over a period of years can have a significant-detrimental effect of your family's health.    The Surgeon General states that  inhaling this odorless, colorless gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer (with smoking being number one) and this causes around 22,000 lung cancer deaths each years.  So if you smoke and you have high levels of radon gas in your home your risk of lung cancer is especially higher.

We also offer a Basic Safety Water Test and an Expanded Safety Water Test as well as a Comprehensive Safety  Water Test

Which is for Drinking Water and also if needed a Bacterial Water Analysis which covers Coliform Bacteria/E. coli in your drinking water along with coverage of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa , Heterotrophic Plate Count and/or total Mold and Yeast.

CUSTOMERS REVIEWS

Home: Testimonials

I heartily recommend Alan Gardner and Tri County Radon.

When I needed to arrange testing on short notice to coincide with the home inspection, Alan revamped his schedule to collaborate with Eric of Holm Inspections so the sellers were not inconvenienced with too many intrusions.  Alan was thorough in explaining how and why he was testing.  He reported the results, as he had promised, in a timely way and added important interpretation for the analyses.  His professional conduct was exemplary revealing his underlying good character and adherence to high ethical values.

With Alan, the relationship did not stop once the numbers are reported.  He develops a rapport with his clients.  I needed recommendations for local tradesmen and specialists for arsenic filtration, radon mitigation, HVAC evaluation, electrical work and plumbing upgrades.  Alan readily provided insights for those with whom he has worked.  He gives honest and direct reviews of everyone he suggests.

Buying a property or having concerns about the safety of your home, you want Alan in your corner.  He can cut through the confusion to keep your family safe from harmful and invisible carcinogens.

My experience with Tri County Radon was excellent. Alan is a great guy to deal with, and very professional. He was at my house within a day of making contact to perform testing. The tests were quick and he had the results back to me immediately upon completion of the testing period. His prices are fair and overall I am very satisfied with my experience. I highly recommend Tri County Radon.

I used Tri County Radon testing services as one of my home purchase services during my "Due Diligence" period. When I met Alan he was very congenial and answered all my questions in a professional manner. He performed his test and got my results back to me in a timely manner to conclude my new home pre-purchase requirements. He followed up with a phone call asking if I understood the results and answered any questions I had concerning the test results. I would definitely use Alan again.

We are new homeowners in Maine, moving here from CT. Because of our distance, we were not able to be in Maine during the inspection process of our new home. Alan Gardner, of Tri County Radon, conducted the water and air radon tests for the house. His service was excellent! He kept us informed throughout the process and helped troubleshoot some issues with our water. He also provided us with excellent and helpful advice about other things relative to our house. He went way above what he had to do, and we are most appreciative for his assistance. We highly recommend him!
